Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 First Impression

On the surface, this Call of Duty experience is similar to the other Modern Warfare games. If a casual fan sat down for a few rounds of team deathmatch or domination, it would be easy to forgive them for mistaking this for a map pack. Its visuals are familiar, most of the weapons are recycled from previous games, the tight gunplay feels similar, maps are still fairly cramped affairs for the most part, assembling a party operates the same, and many of the killstreak rewards return. Modern Warfare 3’s most noteworthy tweaks may be smaller changes, but they add up to contribute in a big way.

Deus Ex : Human Revolution Review

The Deus Ex games are first-person shooter RPGs that let you approach your objectives in a way that suits you: direct violence if you enjoy it, stealth if you don’t, and throwing heavy objects around if you like getting caught, beaten and shot. Despite a sequel in 2003, the first is still considered by me, this magazine, and a lot of our readers as the best game ever made. Like its predecessor, a large part of Deus Ex:Human Revolution’s appeal is in its well written, intelligent story. The Deus Ex franchise has always been a series in the Metal Gear vein, focusing on corrupt shadow governments and corporate espionage, though its main focus is on Transhumanism, the ethical concerns raised when man mixes with machine. You may think a robot arm would be totally badass at first, but when you realize you’ll need an expensive drug for the rest of your life to keep your body from rejecting it, you might be more hesitant. There’s also the more philosophical issue of where humanity ends and machine begins, and how expensive upgrades reinforce the class system. If this all sounds a little highbrow, well, that’s because it is.

Players can find cover in the bunker or across the way in a storage garage, which was once a temple in Cliffside. The perimeter and bottleneck areas will be used by those who enjoy getting up-close and personal. Hazard is a great map to play overall, for both CoD: WaW fans and new players.

Kojima Productions has revealed the first gameplay and story details of Metal Gear Solid: Rising at Konami's E3 press conference.

The game will be set between Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4, and show how protagonist Raiden changed from his first appearance in MGS2: Sons of Liberty to be the cybernetic samurai ninja seen in Hideo Kojima's PS3 opus MGS4: Guns of the Patriots.

Call of Duty is the Goliath of the video game world. The series has sold millions of copies and catapulted itself from a solid, World War II shooter to the sprawling multiplayer playground and Hollywood-style campaign that we know today. Call of Duty: Black Ops takes much of what made Modern Warfare 2 great and slightly expands and modifies it. That's not to say that there aren't mistakes to be found within Black Ops, but I think Call of Duty fans are going to be happy with Treyarch's latest effort.
